1925年刊『海南小記』は石垣島の四箇村の丁字路の突当り、人家の表口、石垣の角に石敢當があると記します。柳田国男の1921年の来島に関わる記述ですが、個別観察日・写真撮影地点・現存は未確認です。
旧四箇の範囲と現在の地区境界は未照合です。石垣市全域や全交差点の設置法則には広げません。148頁のビジュル石は石敢當に分類しません。
